In Science we are learning about sharks and we began this week with shark dissections.  The students are very excited about this!  We are dissecting adolescent Dogfish Sharks.  Each student gets their own shark.  The students will be responsible for keeping a daily journal of their observations along with labeled drawings of the internal and external anatomy of their shark.  The students will be able to identify and know the functions of eleven shark organs.  We will compare these organs to those of the human body when we study the human body later this year. This should be a very exciting and unforgettable learning experience!
