Busing Update

Hello Cascade Parents & Students,

As many of you know, we have recently experienced various issues providing reliable transportation to and from school for your students. There are no substitute bus drivers available, so when one driver is out, our ability to transport your child may have been affected.

In an effort to remedy this, we are going to consolidate some routes so that we can get your student to and from school.

First, starting tomorrow, January 8, 2019 and until further notice, Bus 42 will not run, and if your child typically rides Bus 42, they will now ride a different bus.

The majority of Bus 42 riders will now ride Bus 40.

Bus stops will remain at the same locations. The bus that picks up your student in the morning will be the same bus that takes your child home in the afternoon.

Bus drivers will remind students as they board tomorrow morning that this new bus will be the bus to take them home in the afternoons.

For Anderson Heights and Meadow Lane School riders, the bus will arrive at the following stops 20 minutes early: Riverside and Alexander (6:40 a.m.), El Rio Trailer Park (6:42 a.m.), and Loop Street (6:43 a.m.).

In addition, if you originally rode Bus 40, your pick up time may be as much as 15 minutes later than your usual pick up time, and if you are an original Bus 42 rider in the a.m., your stops will be approximately 10-15 minutes later as well.

For Anderson Middle School riders, all Bus 42 riders will ride Bus 40. Stop locations will be the same. Morning routes may be 15-20 minutes later than usual.

Going home, drop off times may be 15-20 minutes later than usual.

We will make every attempt to get your child to school as we work through this transition. Thank you for your patience as we work to provide consistent dependable transportation for your child.
