Principal's Message

Welcome to Anderson Middle School – Where students will be INSPIREd to BELIEVE they can ACHIEVE success!

On behalf of the entire staff of Anderson Middle School, I would like to welcome you back to our school. I am honored to serve as your Principal of AMS and I look forward to a wonderful year filled with many exciting changes. We have changed our bell schedule and are offering extended Wednesdays to expand cultural enrichment, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math), and more.

The entire staff at Anderson Middle School is eager to begin what promises to be the best year ever. This year is going to be especially sensational as we bring back 5th graders to AMS to pursue instrumental music. We are offering more elective options than ever, expanding our amazing band program to include visual and performing arts with the additions of choir, art and journalism, as well as continuing our very successful community service and leadership options. We are committed to continuing to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous and relevant. As your principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors - staff, students, and parents - is happy to be here! This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun and nurturing environment.

I know that parents and staff are united in our desire to ensure the best possible education for the students of Anderson Middle School. As a professional learning community, we are committed to working tirelessly to provide challenging educational opportunities for children each day. But to be as successful as we can be, we need your help. You are a special and unique part of our learning community. Collaboration with your child's teacher is a main ingredient to a healthy and successful year. Open communication is vital to ensure a successful home-school partnership throughout the year. Parent involvement is an important aspect of every child's education and is the primary factor in a student's success in school.

There are many ways in which you can participate in school such as becoming a member of our Parent Club and/or School Site Council and/or Band Boosters as well as showing up to support our students at athletic events and musical performances. Additionally, volunteering to chaperone field trips or dances, or assisting with activities are just a few things that you can do to show your child that their education is important to you. I look forward to seeing you on campus this year because parent support makes all the difference in your child's school success.

Anderson Middle School students deserve the best. Working together, we can ensure that all of our students are prepared for a bright, successful future! If I can ever be of assistance, please feel free to email, or call 378-7060 to arrange a time to meet with me.

Go Cougars!
