About the School

Welcome to Anderson Middle School. With around 550 students in attendance, we emphasize academic excellence, responsibility for your actions and respect for others. Our colors are blue and gold. Our school mascot is the Cougar.

We offer a core curriculum in Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Physical Education. Electives include Band, Student Technology Team, Journalism, and Leadership. Choir is offered as part of Project Share after school.

Extra-curricular activities and clubs include Student Council, WEB, flag team, and after-school sports - volleyball, soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, and track and field. Free tutoring from our teachers is available to all students before school & during lunch in the Success Center. In addition, we offer Project Share daily, a free after school program that includes a snack, homework help, and many fun and interesting activities and clubs.

The faculty and staff are pleased to have you as a student and are committed to your success. We firmly believe that ALL students have the right to a positive academic and social experience. Go Cougars!
