The first games of the season on November 2nd have been relocated to the AMS Gym. We will NOT be playing at Vista Prep.
 

Please be considerate of other people that may be immune compromised or have immune compromised people at home - masks are required to be worn in our campus buildings.

Leadership would like to congratulate the following top three classes in the running for a donut party:

3rd place w/ 32 pairs of socks is Ms. Hawkin's class

2nd place w/ 35 pairs of socks is Mrs. Morphew's class

1st place w/ 40 pairs of socks is Ms. Fitzgerald's class

Our official sock count so far is 146 pairs!

From Yearbook:

Keep the Fun, Fall Photos coming!  The Anderson Middle School Yearbook is still accepting photos from our students and families showcasing extracurricular life.  We are starting with Fun Fall Photos.  Looking forward to seeing all that Fall has to offer: football games, soccer, volleyball, colorful leaves, costumes, pumpkin spice everything, sweater weather, you and your adorable pet - maybe your pet is wearing a fun fall sweater, or pumpkin carving.  Please submit your Fun Fall Photos to Mrs. James.

Please have your school-issued Chromebook fully charged and with you each day at school. 

We still need packets returned. These were given to students on 8/19/21. Parents/Guardians - please fill out & sign the forms and return the necessary paperwork to our school. Thank you!

 

Reminder regarding our DRESS CODE:

[EC§35183] The Governing Board believes that appropriate dress and grooming contribute to a productive learning environment. The Board expects students to give proper attention to personal cleanliness and to wear clothes that are suitable for the school activities in which they participate. Students' clothing must not present a health or safety hazard or a distraction which would interfere with the educational process.
See Board Policy 5132 for more information.
All students shall abide by the following dress code:
 Clothing shall cover undergarments and torso at all times and may not expose skin above the mid-thigh.
 Garments may not be tight or revealing.
 Pajamas are allowed only on designated spirit days or special events planned by school administration.
 Safe footwear must be worn at all times.
 Hats may be worn only outdoors, for sun protection or warmth.
 For safety reasons, dangling, sharp, or heavy jewelry or accessories are not permitted.
 No clothing, jewelry, or personal items bearing statements or pictures that are obscene or profane, advocate illegal, sexual,
or violent behavior, alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs, violence, racism, gang-related, or make sexual innuendos are allowed.
 Face painting, hair coloring, or body piercing that cause a disruption or safety concern are not allowed. Hair may not be sprayed with any coloring that would drip when wet.
Administration will determine whether or not any of the above guidelines are being violated and ultimately a distraction or potential distraction to the learning environment at school. Physical education teachers may require students to dress for gym class.

October 13th: Collaboration Day - Minimum Day
October 15th: AUHS Homecoming Parade
October 19th: Progress Report #2 for Trimester 1 mailed out
October 22nd: Think Pink Day - Wear pink to support breast cancer awareness

November 9: Picture Re-Takes; 9 am
