Meet the Teacher

Hello all!
Welcome to 6th grade! I teach Math and Science. What an amazing journey we get to embark together! You will not believe how much your child will grow this year. I have so much planned and I cannot wait to get to know you and your family. This is my third year teaching at Anderson Middle School and I love it! I have prior experience teaching in 2nd and 4th grade. I have loved every part of my journey, but my heart is truly in the classroom!
I'd love to tell you all a little bit about myself. I have a husband, and two children. My daughter is 10 and attends AMS and my son is 6 and attends AH. We love traveling, visiting new places, hiking, and watching the SF Giants. As a student, I attended Cascade Elementary School District all my life. I went to Meadow Lane, Anderson Middle School, and graduated from Anderson High School. I have always known I wanted to teach. I have a BA in Liberal Studies from CSU Chico (Go Wildcats!) and went onto graduate school at CSU Chico to get my Multiple Subject Credential.
This has been such an honor to come back and teach were my love of learning began. I grew up as an English Language Learner, and am very fond of my memories at this district growing up. I am so thrilled to be apart of such a wonderful district and community. It is going to be a amazing year!
Please feel free to contact me with any questions and concerns. I am here for you and your child!
